I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Gus

I'm Available

Meet Gus — our panda-eared, squishy-headed comeback kid!

Gus is a 1-year-old English Bulldog who has already lived a whole lifetime of hardship — and somehow came out the other side goofy, confident, affectionate, and determined to make every day a party.

He was rescued from a rural shelter in awful condition: underweight, infected, parasite-ridden, and covered in his own mess. His foster refused to leave him behind… and from that moment on, Gus’s life started over.

Today, Gus is thriving: 60 pounds of muscle, charm, and unfiltered enthusiasm. He’s social with other dogs (though he sometimes enters like a furry wrecking ball), loves walks, adores training games, and thinks every human who makes eye contact has signed a legally binding contract to give him belly rubs. He’s smart, eager to please, and already AKC/Petco basic training certified.

Gus does come with energy — plenty of it. He’s a playful, athletic, high-drive bulldog boy who will absolutely need an engaged, experienced owner and a fenced yard. He’s made huge strides with manners, crate time, leash walking, house training, and settling, and does best with calm, reward-based guidance. A confident older dog buddy could be great for him; small wildlife, yappy dogs, and morning boredom… not so much.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, hilarious, wildly entertaining companion with a heart as big as his squishy melon head, Gus might be your guy. He’s overcome so much — now he just needs someone to help him put roots down.

If you’re ready for high-energy love, lots of laughs, and a boy who will absolutely work for snacks, ask about Gus today!
