So You Want To Adopt Your New Best Friend

Our adoption process is a little different...

We don’t take applications for specific dogs. Instead, we ask potential adopters to become pre-approved.

Once approved, you’ll have access to:

Info, photos, and videos of all available dogs
Direct contact with foster families and our founder
Help from volunteers to find the right match

If none of the current dogs are a fit, you can wait until the right one comes along — your pre-approved status lasts a full year.

We can’t guarantee a dog will still be available by the time a new application is processed.
The approval process can take up to 5 weeks (sometimes a little longer). Our volunteers do their best to expedite the process, but with juggling work, family and life in general, it can be hard. We appreciate your patience.

OUR PROCESS

Step 1. Apply

We appreciate you wanting to bring a dog into your home. In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.

Step 2. Phone Interview

During the phone interview our volunteer will go over bulldog related issues, proper food, your knowledge of bulldogs, and what type of personality would fit best your home and lifestyle.

Step 3. Home Visit

Once your application review is complete, a Bullies 2 The Rescue volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit to meet in person and discuss all-things pet. During the home visit, we look for potential hazards for the dog that the adopter may not have considered. All household members must be present during the home visit. This includes all pets.

Step 4. Finding Your Pet

Once approved to adopt, the search for your dog begins. Volunteers will begin to evaluate pets currently in our foster care program who may be a good fit for you and your family. We would also be open to discussing dogs in our care that you are specifically interested in.

Additional Information

We will not discuss adoption details regarding any particular dog if you have not yet applied to adopt.
Bullies 2 The Rescue is a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization. We will make every effort to schedule your home visit in a timely manner. Please be patient with us…the dogs need our time too.
All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all shots prior to adoption
Adoption fees for our dogs are typically between $600 to $900, though some may be lower or higher depending on the dog’s age, health, and specific medical needs.

is dedicated to supporting the efforts of pet rescue non profits throughout the United States.

Observing various pet rescue organizations and the struggles they face in their daily operations, The Buzz Group has built a web-based, integrated software platform to support the efforts of these groups. It is called Buzz to the Rescues. The Buzz to the Rescues platform is designed to integrate and simplify the administrative tasks surrounding dogs, adopters, fosters, volunteers, events and donations for the organization.

The integrated platform easily links dogs to fosters and new owners, while tracking medical history, and dispositions for the dogs. The application process helps maintain family and home information in one place and offers online home visit detail and approval process for potential adopters. Finally, once adopted, dogs and new owners are linked for historical purposes.
