Meet Herman — the little bulldog who’s learning how to be brave in a big, loud world.
When he was rescued from a hoarding case, Herman didn’t know what it meant to go on walks, have toys, or feel safe. At first, everything was scary — shadows, car rides, even the dark. But day by day, this tiny fighter has been coming out of his shell. He’s gone from flattening himself on the ground during walks to trotting around and his ears doing their best “concerned eyebrow” impression.
Herman is only 1½ years old, about 26 pounds (and gaining), and he’s ready to trade his past for a forever home filled with love, patience, and another friendly dog who’ll show him the ropes. He’s high energy, loves to run, and gives world-class cuddles once he feels safe.
He’s not perfect — he’s still learning manners, still working on house training, and occasionally channels his inner opera singer when he misses you — but he’s pure joy in a compact package.
He’s proof that courage isn’t about never being scared… it’s about wagging through it anyway.
